Birralonga 2026: the route, the stops and everything you need to know
Twelve kilometres on foot through the countryside of the Lower Veronese plain, with food stops, craft beers and rural landscapes to enjoy at your own pace. On Sunday 19 April 2026, the Birralonga returns, this year reaching its third edition, organised by ASD Polisportiva Erbè with the patronage of the Municipality of Erbè. An event that combines movement, conviviality and local roots in a simple but winning formula.
The meeting point is set at 8:00 am at Parco Due Tioni in Erbè (Viale G. Basilicà), where parking is also available. After registration and gadget collection, staggered departures begin from 8:30 am, with groups setting off every ten minutes. The route, to be covered strictly on foot, crosses the municipalities of Erbè and Isola della Scala and includes five refreshment stops, each with a food-and-beer pairing curated by the main sponsors Birrificio Due Frati and Borgo Burger.
The menu is full of surprises: the journey starts with a focaccia with EVO oil accompanied by a Blanche, then continues with a cotechino sandwich from the Veneto tradition and a Helles. The third stop offers malga gnocchi with smoked ricotta, paired with a California Common. At the fourth, a selection of cheeses and honey with a Saison. The grand finale at Parco Due Tioni features a beer risotto with sausage and gorgonzola (or, for vegetarians, with asparagus), served with an American IPA. To close the day, the DJ set by Erre-J.
Registration fees are: €30 for adults (18 and over), €15 for teenagers from 7 to 17, and €5 for children up to 6 years old. Payment is by bank transfer, with details provided at the time of registration. Alcoholic drinks are not served to under 18s.
