"Little Chairs to Grow Up" at the Teatro Stimate on 1 March 2026
On Sunday 1 March at 4:30 pm, the Teatro Stimate in Verona hosts a show designed for audiences of all ages: "Little Chairs to Grow Up", brought to the stage by the Compagnia Teatro Telaio. The event is part of the "Famiglie a teatro" programme, curated by Fondazione Aida ETS, and is recommended for ages 3 and up.
The show is based on the techniques of non-verbal actor's theatre and clowning: no dialogue, no text to follow, only bodies, gestures, rhythm and imagination. A universal language, equally accessible to young and old, that requires no specific preparation to be understood and enjoyed.
On stage are two seemingly very different characters: one inclined to order, the other to imagination. Their meeting gives life to a series of transformations — of the chairs around them, but above all of themselves. They will discover that what the other possesses is often exactly what we are missing, and that the encounter between an "I" and a "you" can give rise to something unexpected: a game, a celebration, a new thought.
For the children in the audience, the show is an invitation to fly with the imagination, to picture the world not only for what it is but for what it could be. A delicate, powerful message, told without words, about difference, encounter and growth.
