LiveDog Fest 2026: what to expect from the day

Verona hosts a really special appointment for all dog lovers. On Sunday 19 April 2026, the LiveDog Dog Centre opens the doors of its venue for a full day dedicated to animal welfare, sport, training and family fun. Admission is free, which already says a lot about the philosophy that drives the initiative.

The LiveDog Park is located in Via della Siderurgia, in the Bassone Zai2 area, and with its 24,000 sq m of fenced and equipped green area it is one of the most extensive dog parks in Italy. An ideal setting to host an event of this scale.

Starting from 9:30 am, visitors will be able to move freely between the different themed areas of the park, each designed for a specific stage in a dog's life. From Puppyland, dedicated to puppies and their early socialisation, to activities for senior dogs and behavioural recovery paths for those with a more complex history. In between, room for sport with Agility and Treibball, and the B and D areas with Nosework, a discipline that exploits the canine sense of smell through mental stimulation and scent searching.

The instructors of the LiveDog School will run live demonstrations in the Gyms, showing the public the techniques and disciplines taught at the centre. A concrete opportunity to understand how to work with dogs ethically and respectfully, following the principles of the Carta Modena 2002, which excludes any coercive method.

The day is not only for animals: there will be 18 stands between food and exhibitors, a food truck on site, a relaxation area and even a selfie spot. In the afternoon, the Amateur Parade (from 1:30 to 2:30 pm), open to all the dogs present, and moments of solidarity with the centre's lottery and the kids' area curated by the Red Cross of Verona. Also present are organisations such as the OIPA Animal Welfare Officers, the Civil Protection canine units and ENPA Verona.

Exhibitors include handicrafts, sustainable accessories, natural snacks, illustrators and portrait artists — a small dog-world fair, all to be explored.
