Pimpa, the beloved red-spotted little dog created by Altan, turns fifty and celebrates the milestone with a truly special theatre show. "Pimpa. This musical is born from the collaboration of two masters of storytelling: Francesco Tullio Altan, Pimpa's creator, and Enzo d'Alò, one of the most important European directors of animated film, who had already worked on the animated series dedicated to the famous little dog. Together they created an original, poetic show that blends fantasy, live music, animated puppets and the timeless charm of theatre. A unique opportunity to introduce the youngest viewers to the world of live performance, discovering how play can turn into art and how imagination is at the heart of every great theatrical creation.
The story is surprising and fun: one day, at Pimpa's house with her friend Armando, a letter arrives signed by a certain William... Shakespeare! The famous English playwright has come straight from the moors to teach Pimpa how a real theatre show is put together. From there a colourful adventure takes off where everything becomes possible: original songs alternate with playful choreographies, puppets come to life and funny scenes follow one another in a crescendo of emotions.
The heart of the show is the music, composed by Eleonora Beddini with catchy melodies drawing from different traditions around the world. Each song accompanies the scenic transformations and gives voice to the imagination, creating a true musical language that guides young and old on a sonic journey full of poetry. The sets, specially designed to adapt Altan's visual style to the stage, transform Pimpa's house into a metatheatrical space where comics meet live performance. The sixty minutes of the show fly by between laughter, dreams and discoveries, leaving in the heart a precious message about the value of friendship, imagination and shared storytelling.
