An afternoon of art and creativity at the Miniscalchi-Erizzo Museum
Verona is not just the Arena and the historic centre: it is also a city rich in fascinating museums, some of which offer experiences specifically designed for younger visitors. One of these is the Museo Miniscalchi-Erizzo, set in the heart of the city on Via San Mamaso, which on 28 March 2026 opens its doors for a special afternoon dedicated to children aged 7 to 12.
The appointment, scheduled from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, is a hands-on printing workshop that combines manual work with the discovery of one of the museum's most distinctive cultural curiosities: the famous Wunderkammer of Ludovico Moscardo, a 17th-century Veronese scholar who gathered an extraordinary collection of rare objects, naturalia and artificialia.
The workshop is led by artist Cecilia Zanetti and offers a structured creative path, designed to introduce younger participants to the world of printing in a simple and engaging way.
It starts with a short introduction to the world of printing and to the figure of Moscardo, whose original catalogue is preserved at the museum itself. Each child will then receive a foam-rubber matrix: the material with which they will create their own personalised stamp, inspired by historical prints selected from the collection.
Guided by the artist step by step, participants will work on creating their stamp, customising it according to their imagination. They will then move on to the inking phase and the actual printing, producing both the main image and decorative motifs. At the end of the workshop, each child will take home the stamps they have created â ready to be reused â together with the works printed during the afternoon.
A great opportunity to stimulate children's creativity in a significant historical and cultural setting, away from screens and surrounded by art.
The cost is âŦ10 per participant, materials included. Reservation is required, by contacting the museum at the following details: đ 045 8032484 | 338 2247935 âī¸ edu@museominiscalchi.it.
